Authenticate database deletion

Is there a way (code or otherwise) that one can prevent unauthorised users from deleting my database from the hard disk?

Talk to your network administrator. Depending on the software you use, he may be able to help you. Unfortunately, Access requires both add and delete capabilities to the directory which holds the database (due to the need to create/delete the .ldb file) so unless the admin specifically secures the .mdb, that can also be deleted.

Thank you very much. We are using Windows 2003 Server. I'll talk to our Network Admin and see whether that can be handled by the server.
