Autism and savantry

Does anyone here know anybody that can be classified as a savant? I just finished watching the rain Man movie from 1989 and I actually know a few people in my own community that might be closely qualified as someone like Kim Peek, although I seriously doubt that there are many people exactly like him.

I find it funny that you pointed me to a thread that I actually participated in, Steve. Fisher, Nash and Williams were not savants, but they were probably close no doubt. Alan Turing can be thrown into the mix too, I would guess.

That's an amazing kid john. Being able to count back and forth for the number pi in mathematics. WOW. He obviously will be employed his entire life haha
