Not being an Access expert, its going to be quite hard to explain this...so please forgive me. Until a week ago I knew zilch about access, so its been a steep learning curve.
Ok.... I have a CSV file which has data added to it every night. I have been able to import the data into access and get a lovely system which queries it...brilliant.
The problem I now have, is that when I load the access database, I would like it to automatically load all of the data which is in the CSV file. The csv file is always in the same location... so that when I perform queries, it is being done on the most recent data. The only way I have been able to use my database so far is to manually import the data from the csv file, and give the columns the correct headings. Obviously 24 hours later the database is missing a days worth of data. Would anyone be able to give me some pointers as to how (and if) I can automate the process of completly importing the csv file when the database is loaded?
If the above doesnt make any sense at all please tell me and I will try to re-phrase it.
Thank you.
