auto repeat of entries

Is there any way to have Access automatically type out an entry you have already used previously (on a form, in datasheet view) as in Excel? For example, in Excel, if you type "whatever" on one line, you only need to type in "w" or "wh" on the next line; Excel then fills in the rest. I would imagine the same thing can be done in Access, but I don't know how to do that. Please advise...Thanks.

I don't know of any easy way to do what you're asking but this may help:

press [Ctrl]['] and Access will duplicate the data from the appropriate field in the prior record.
