I know I saw an example somewhere of code that could be used in place of the built in autoexpand feature of a combo box, but now that I actually need it, I can't find it! Does anyone remember where that was?

The reason I can't use a combo box is because combo boxes are limited to 65,535 records, and I need substantially more than that. Any ideas?

Not sure if it will help but Leigh Purvis and I were going back and forth about some code he posted to dynamically assign a record set to a combo-box, thus increasing the speed of the cbo and reducing the number of rows returned...would that help?

If so, that exchange can be found at http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=151992. To save you a little time, I found Leigh's example at http://www.databasedevelopment.co.uk/examples.htm under "Combo Filtering". His site had been down but I just checked and it is up now.

That is a great site, thanks George.
