What would be the best way to generate a reminder when a record have met a certain criteria? For example i have a db that has 1000 records. One field has DOB, i need a reminder to come up when a person has reached 18 years of age. I created a query that will give me that information but i would like to automate this maybe in a form so that every time i open the db it would bring up that information only if there were records that turned 18. Any suggestions?

Try this.
Use a hidden form on startup with the recordsource set to the query to wean out the children;)

Then on the Form_Load()

If me.recordsetclone.recordcount >0 then
do whatever you want
for example show the form (continuous form) to show all people who have had their eighteenth birthday on that day or whatever date period you want or use a for...next loop to show a series of messageboxes with the same data.
