Overview

I have constructed a Database for the recording of processing information ie date, received amount, completed amount reasons for non conformity etc.

At the end of each month I am required to produce a report to show date, received amount completed amount incorporating totals and pie/bar charts with relation to the relevant KPI's.

Current Status

I've set up the necessary master and sub documents in word and am comfortable with linking to Excel for the data tables and Charts.

The Database works fine and I have set up the relevant queries which produce the data needed on the specified criteria(between dates to display on the previous months data)

I have tried to set something up in Excel(pivot table) to update based on the query but have received an error message detailing"TOO FEW PARAMETERS - EXPECTED 2".

I can link the data from the underlying table ok but if I try to set parameters on this(BETWEEN AND) MS query tells me that parameters are not allowed on this query.

I have no hair left to lose, the window is open and the PC is in my hands so please point me in the right direction before something terrible happens.

Thanks

Kev

Patt is right. Use Pivot table in Access and this is what I do for Charts.
Go to New Reports--> Select Chart Wizard. When you finish you can edit to the chart easy and modify anything you need like in Excel.
