Hi ,

I have a MS access db with linked ORACLE tables.
I used the ORACLE passwd when i linked the tables.

Instead of relinking all tables , can i link automatically with ORACLE via code/ autoexec macro , when i open the database ?

Would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Gina.

Hi Pat,

I'm sorry I couldn't reply immediately.
Currently I do not have any forms , just tables/queries/functions/macros.

How can i still make this work for me ,
such that when i clik on MS access , "strconnect" is sent to ORACLE & i dont' have to enter the password ?

Thanks,
Gina.

Have you concidered setting up an Application userid/Password on Oracle you can use in your application?

Hi FoFa,
I don't think I understand what you said.

I have a user /pass in ORACLE with only SELECT permissions.
and I use this to link the tables.

Thanks,
Gina.

Hi Pat,

I do know about the relinking tables with password save option.
I was looking for a easier & faster method.

Thanx for your advice..
The DBA has created this ORACLE user name for every1 concerned to use, but I'll keep the thought in mind now!

Thanks,
Gina.
