Automatically Refresh Linked Data On Update

I have data linked from access into my excel workbook. There are other files that pull from this excel workbook, but not directly from access. I would like to ensure that whenever I update information in access, it automatically updates the information in excel without needing to open the excel file at all. Anyone know how to do this?

Don't think there is a way to do it without opening the file. You could have Access open the file through VBA and refresh the links but you would still have to click a button or have an event fire it.
