autonumber field?

I have a query which has a certain order when I created it. But when I perform a filter on it for use as recordsource for a report, the order they appear is all screwed up. The problem is, that I have no fields in the query that are unique identifiers.

So how do I make one? It can be an outnumber field, or a normal number filed, or any other filed for I know, but I need to have a record that I can sort on when applying the filter.

Nirious, This is a simple fix. You just need to pull up the Sorting and Grouping dialog box by right clicking in the report design window.
