As the user enters and exit each box I want the backcolor to change. I know I can do this by using OnEnter and OnExit but this is a bit laborious especially when I've several forms. Is there a quicker way of doing this by using some sort of function?

Thanks in advance.

When the user exits the text box, does the focus move directly to another text box? If so, you would only need OnEnter I think.

What you want to do is in design view select all the text boxes you want this to work for. Then click on the format menu, then click on Conditional Formatting.

Under the Condition 1 select in the first box "Field has focus"

The rest should be pretty clear how to setup.

That's the easiest tool to use for setting backcolors.

One quick and easy method that involves no coding:

To make the field that receives the focus change to lemon (say)background ... make the field backstyle transparent and the backcolor lemon (or whatever).

I know this looks crazy (transparant AND lemon??) but it works!
