Baffling Query Issue

I have a query which queries some Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse tables via ODBC. In a field that contains text I put a Criteria of
= "BTR Consumer" and run the query. But the query brings all the data baack it does not filter the data. Nobody in the office know why.

I tried

= "CORE" on a different field and it worked fine.

Anybody got any idea
