The work flow goes like this:
-Package is delivered to mailroom
-Mailroom clerk enters received date/time, sender, recipient, carrier, packageID in Access
-PDA is synced and new packages downloaded to PDA
-Mailroom clerk takes package and PDA on rounds, delivers pkgs, marks date/time and obtains signature
-PDA is synced and delivery info is updated
-Clerk runs process module which moves delivered packages from incoming table to delivered table.
The key here is that the package IDs are lengthy alpha numeric strings, so they would rather scan them then type them. Currently that process is not in the app so we are open as to what scanner we get.
