Whats all your opinion on the best version of access?

Well as with anything I would go with the latest version you can get you hands on to take advantage of new features.

I think all versions have been useable since A97

A97 was good, and A2003 was incremental. They started tinkering with the database window, and flipped it about. Since A97 will not run on W7, it's A2003 now, if you want old school

A2007 was not so good in retrospect

A2010 and A2013 are both good, but now have quite a few significant differences from A2003.

As support for A2003 has discontinued, I expect A2013 is the one to go for.
