I am trying to write a query that will gather information based on line numbers. So, for example, I want to get a result for lines between 3400-3699. My query looks like this:

WKS Line Col
C 3400-3699 1500

I have tried ><3400-3699, but that doesn't work. I tried the "choose" function and I couldn't get that to work.

I don't see a "between" or "isbetween" function.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I may not be in complete understanding of your needs, but have you tried.

>3400 and <3699
or
Between 3400 and 3699

One of these is placed in the Criteria under Line

or do I have this completely misunderstood.

Three Crow

You have what I am trying to do right on. I tried your suggestions and they didn't work.

Thanks for suggestions.

Can you confirm that you have a field that holds the line number? Three Crow's syntax if OK so it should have worked.

There is no intrinsic position in an Access table unless you impose one. So if you done have such a field, there's no way you can select the records based on their apparent position in the table.

Thanks for everyone's help

I am all set now.

neileg - To answer your question, yes I had all the fields in my database.

Good luck and thanks.
