Blocking Design View

How can I get Design View off the toolbar? I have users getting into it and making changes. I need to keep this from happening.

Any ideas?

Make your application into an .mde

Go to Tools, Startup.
Put the form that you want in the on open box.
Untick all the boxes.
They then need to know to hold shift in order to see design view.

... If they know this... search through this forum for locking a db. There are many references.

Secure your db with Access security using workgroups and user permissions.

For a cheap fix you can ensure the toolbars are hidden and the right click option is disabled. Check this thread out on how to do all that and more... Hide all Access Toolbars and Menubars
