bom critical

hi everybody

iam stuck with configuring a bom for a product

the data is...

i have three products
product white
product blue
product green

all the above three products have the same components and sub assemblies
but..
the outer body of the 3 products differ in color ( white, green, blue)
how to go about the bom
should i create separate product ids and fill all the components and sub assemblies for all three products

please help
iam stuck badly and running out of time
