Bound Form Problems

Hi,

i have attached an unbound form with this post......

i am having problems making it a bound form..... can any1 help???

In the form there is also a new address button...... which takes you to a new window.... this window will allow u to insert new address details and then allow it to be selected (by a combobox) in the ADD Form....

can someone help? thanks

I'm looking at it right now, but one thing I noticed is that you aren't using an autonumber as primary key in any of the tables. You shouldn't be saving text as the key because then it becomes an administrative nightmare as if the text changes then you must make changes in many places. If using a number and the text changes the changes only need to occur in one place.

If nobody beats me to it, I am redesigning this to a more efficient design and that will help you bind your form to the tables. I have to go get ready for work, but I'll try to work on it between things today.

Okay, here you go. Take a look how I substituted ID numbers for the text values that you were storing in the data table. It will make it so that you only have to update data in one place if necessary. Also, I modified your clear button code to be more efficient.

Hopefully this will give you some learning opportunity to see how you can better do things.
