Budget Ledger In MS Access

I am working in an insurance corporation in the department of finance and accounts , my job assignment is controlling budget. I control my budget manually and have a budget register. I want to prepare a budget register in ms access. I am trying but failing in making calculations in various forms, queries. Can you help me in this project ?
