i want to create a form using 4tables. ive done it before and it is successful. but when im create a table with concatenated key, then i cant build up a form. i mean i can but the form does not appear. why is that? n how can i create the form with those 4 tables without using a subform?

The only way I can think of doing this is to draw the data, from the four tables, together using a query, and then use that as Record Source for your form.

Then don't use the ampersand symbol (&) when you name your forms, reports, queries etc.

If you set the caption of a button to this &MyButton, it will appear as this:
MyButton.

Look on your web browser now, and you can see the menus (File, Edit etc) have this underscore character or the first character is underlined. Hold down ALT key and press F, you will see why. It's a shortcut.

What other objects were you thinking could be used in place of subforms?

ok guys, if i create the form using the wizard, 1st step will b selecting the table, then choose where the data from, linked form or certain form. but this one does not appear when i create it. why?

ok this if my db. i attached u my db. n also the form that i want to create.

I'm sure the question was, "What is the name of the table you're trying to create?"

I didn't ask for your db.

ok sorry. table name = project, information, product and subcont.

So you want to create separate forms for each of these tables?

i want to combine all those 4 in 1 form.

ive tried what john have told me. but also didnt work

Look at your relationships, there's no relationship between any of the tables you want to include in your form. The form linking all of them is TransMaster.

so i have to create a form for transmaster?

It seems to be the logical thing to do. You would know which is best for you.

honestly now i cant think of anything. i dont know what to do or which 1 is the best. dats y i need ur help/

Start from top down. TransMaster seems to be at the top. Create a form that includes data from TransMaster and Information and see how it looks, then delete that and create another to include those two plus Projects and see how it looks. So on and so forth. It's all a matter of trial and error to learn.

You've got lots of tables and queries there so I can't give you specific advise.

okay.. i will do that.. actuually, ive been repair this for the 7th time. n really tired. thanx for ur advice..
