Button to open MS Word

Is it possible to have a button on a form that can export (mail merge) the current record directly to a preformatted MS Word document having the same fields, similar to using a button to print out a report for a specific record?

I am able to perform the mail merge and cycle through the records from word, but I am trying to give my users the ability to print out a MS Word template document with fields from Access filling in certain fields.

Please let me know also, I have been trying to figure this one out but it seems to be eluding me.....

Is it easier to use the openreport operator? If so can you please let me know how i should do that also :- )
