I use Access 2000 to query a Pick database. There are 2 date fileds, EntryDate and EffectiveDate. I actually need to see a LaterOfDate.
I have created a calculated field called LaterOfDate:IIF([EntryDate]>=[EffectiveDate],[EntryDate],[EffectiveDate]).
For the LaterOfDate, I have used the parameter Between#1/1/01#And#1/31/01# to get all of the records for the year.
I am not getting all of the records with this query.
Is there anything that I am missing?
Thanks so Much!
Kris

Sorry if I am being obvious, but if you want the whole year shouldn't it be
Between #1/1/01# And #12/31/01#
not
Between#1/1/01#And#1/31/01#
which gives you only January?

Yes, you are right. Ultimately, I do want a full year. I have been pulling smaller groups of data, like the just January, and then I am comparing with an old "Report Builder" which is the reporting tool which comes with the Pick Database our company uses.
I want to use Access and ODBC to utilize its great flexibility in reporting, but the data doesn't match.
When I query on the calculated field, I miss some records that are output by the old reporting tool. If I go back to the query grid, remove the dates and use one of the missing records invoice number as a parameter in the field Invoice number, I can see the records! Then the LOEDate is listed!
I am really perplexed!
