Calculations

I am trying to calculate a due date for my equipment. I am creating a table right now and I have a field that is the last date of certification. I also have a field that has the number of months till the equipment needs recertification. I am having trouble getting the field for the due date to calculate.

I am not even sure if it can be done while in the table design.

Before everyone in this forum scolds you for attempting to store calculated data in a table, let me say that you are best off not even attempting to do this, but to calculate your due dates using a calculated field in a query. The DateAdd function is great for those calculations.

When I use the DateADD funciton, I put "m" for the interval value.
Then when I try to view outside the design view it as to set a parameter value. What does that mean.
