Calendar-style Report

Has anyone ever created a monthly calendar style report in Access whereby a user enters a list of items to a table through an input form and they would fall where they belong on a particular day(s) in a monthly-look calendar when printed ? Is this a 'dream' wish or can it become a reality ?

What I am trying to do is create a Textbox for each day in the month and fill it with 1 or more verbiage entries, e.g. "Committee Meeting - Bldg C" then under it on the same date "Facility Meeting - Bldg L", etc. Therefore the report would have roughly 5 weeks of 7 day textboxes each of which could contain 1 or more text entries.

What email system do you use?

I only ask because many email systems provide what you want and printouts also. Why reinvent the wheel?
 
Mark: We use Outlook. And in a way I agree with your thinking. But this is not a 'time controlled' project and that's why it was considered that it might better be done in Access. But on your thought, could Access be coded to fill in multiple entries on a date(s) in an Outlook calendar ? Thanks for your help.
 
They both use VBA in the newer versions so the answer is yes and i bet there are plenty of links here related to the populating the Outlook Object Model!
 
That might work -- but wouldn't you be limited if a month didn't have entries for a particular day(s) ? I know from experience you 'pre-enter' the months even if they don't occur in the crosstab results, but different months have different amount of days. ??
 
You can use the following as the last line of the crosstab sql query:

PIVOT YOURMONTH In ("1","2","3","4","5","6","7","8","9","10","11","12");


This will fix a twelve month period.
 
Mark: True, but I was thinking and worrying more about the varying number of days in the months.
