I have been tasked with coming up with a scheduling tool so that someone can create a schedule with ease for a number of people and events and then print it out so they can tell at a glance where and when everyone is tasked so that they know what people and resources they have available.

The scheduling part for people and events I've taken care of. My question is how should I chart or print this out? Does anyone out there have any good ideas or has anyone done anything like this in the past?

MS Outlook?...

MS Outlook is the best way for entering and printing monthly calendar notes.

From the Calendar screen, just enter the events for each date and then send the calendar to your printer as normal. You should be given a choice from daily, weekly, monthly, or tri-fold printing as well as being able to choose the date range.

Check it out!:)

Yeah, I suggested Outlook right off the bat but apparently (and this project will service just one person) Outlook doesn't do what they want it to do. I beg to differ, but since this is contract work, who am I to tell them not to pay me to build a redundant system in some other form?

Thanks for the reply.

Hey, make that bank, that's right!

How about "ACT" but customized to meet your client's specific needs?...just an idea.

My office uses ACT and some prefer it to Outlook. Customizable, I'm not sure...I prefer Outlook for the spam and virus control/security and exporting (backup) features.

Better yet, MS Project sounds like what they need and this is highly customizable!

Get this going as the administartor for them and your contract is secure! Very detailed and complex app that is not easy to just pick up and run with...
