Calling All Data Miners: Over $40K in prizes up for grabs in D&B Developer Challenge
Hi everyone,
Over on CodeProject right now we're running the D&B Developer Challenge, which has over $40,000 in prizes up for grabs. The contest isn't particularly Access related, but I thought that you folks who love digging through data and databases might appreciate the challenge.
To compete in the challenge you'll have to dig into the over 10,000 business records that sit in the D&B Developer Sandbox on Windows Azure and simply submit an idea for an app that utilizes the D&B data or enter a complete and functioning app for a chance at an even larger prize.
We'll be giving away $100 to our favourite 10 app ideas and have a $5,000 third prize, $10,000 second prize, and $15,000 grand prize ready for the most innovative applications that we receive.
Get digging in that data and submit your entry soon! Contest deadline is July 31.

** Also, I should note that while most of the competitions on CodeProject are open internationally, due to some legal restrictions from D&B this contest is only open to residents of North America. For the purposes of this contest D&B defines North America as: Canada, U.S.A., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Sorry we'd love to have you all join if we could!
