Can Excel charts only be edited in Excel?

I made some charts in Excel long time ago and I paste them into my Word file. Now I want to edit the title of these charts. I have lost the excel files and only have these charts in my Word, is there still a way I can edit the title? Thanks.

Depends how you imported them. If they are imported as images then you will have to change the title in a program like paint other wise you should be able to change the title directly by double clicking.
