Can Grow can shrink but wont

I have a field on a report, i have set the properties to can grow and shrink. I have also set the properties of the Detail section to do so also.

The field properties in the table is that it is a memo. However when i produce the report the field stops in the middle of what has been entered. I would think that it isnt growing however it even stops in the middle of a line. Is there a set limit to the number of characters that can be output to a report from a memo field?

Looking at it whe i created a report of the field on its own it does it, but why not the report that i have created?

Its not your report that the problem - its your underlying query.

Group By on memo fields truncates text for some reason. As

mentions, you can remove the memo field from the underlying query and then do a lookup to get the associated (full text) memo field on your report.
