Can I add records via a combo box?

I have a form based on a table. In it I have a combobox pointing to an employees table with just 2 fields (ID and Emp_Name).

Does the combo box have a property to allow me to type in a new name and create the entry at the employees table?

Yes, take a look at this article: Add item to combo box using OnNotinList event. It talks about how to add an item to a combo box, but the item does get added to the underlying table.
