I am working on an invoice. Once I run the invoice, I want to update the table with the report date. You see, this company charges for storage of steel on their yard. From the date in (log it into the computer), I need to add 31 days (created a new field). He gives them the first month free. This is brand new and he has existing data..so I run for the month 9/1/07 to 9/30/07. For records in the month, I created a field where I add 31 days. I check to see if that date is between the beg and end date. If so, I charge for storage. For the first time, there will not be a charge. The next month, I run for 10/01/07 and 10/31/07. It will look at the new field and if it falls withing this range, charge for storage. Then I need to change it and add 30 more days to it and then if it is still there charge for storage again.

Does that make any sense? I want to update the table from when I run the report. Is it possible? please tell me how?

Also, he charges for unloading a truck by the ton. Once, I run the inital report, I need to modify the unloading charge field, to yes...so I want charge them again for unloading.

THANKS!

Not really... :p

You have just listed a lot of "general" business information here, and little info. about how it relates to the database workings. Can you elaborate on it?

Yes, it's possible. Updating a table is not difficult, but you need to know the exacts / specifics of the situation before going about doing it. e.g. - update what EXACTLY?, What does "it" mean in all of those sentences?, how does this monthly situation relate to the number of fields needed or the updating of fields you need to do?

Most of the questions above apply here too.

And lastly, running a report is usually done to display "up-to-date" data. Most reports are run strictly off a table or query, which indicates that all updates needed are already completed. If I were you, I would try to go about this using a form for data entry and modification, and then base your report off of the table or query in which the modified or updated data exists.
