I attached an Excel file as an example of what i am trying to achieve with Access.
I need a form with two linked fields when i assign value regardless in which one the linked field has to change (autofill).
Any suggestions will be appreciated

There is a little A97 demo attached.

Hope that helps.

nop,
this is not what I mean.
i want to select a value in the first field (name) and the second field (country) to auto populate.
and vise versa if i select value from the second field (country) the first(name) to auto fill.
Exactly the way it is in excel attachment.

in your example if I select a name I can assign whatever country i like.

I experimented with self-joins, but nothing seams to work properly

See the form in the attached database. The code used is in the On Change events of the two combo boxes.

... but, since the names and countries are from the same table, it would be much simpler to display the two columns in a list box for the user to select whichever name or country he/she wants.

10x jon k that is exactly what I needed. the idea for join list box has come up earlier but if the the list with the clients is hundreds going through it will be very inconvenient
