Can two columns be matched

I have many names in two diffenent columns. I would like to match the names in the columns. Each column does not nessicaliy have the same names in each column. When I do have a match I would like to line them up side by side. At times some rows might have a blank. I have three or more colmns.
Example:
Amtrack Amtrack Amtrack
Bob Bob
Chase Chase
Dave Dave
Tom Tom Tom
Waye Wayne Wayne
Zoo Zoo

is this just to see who's in each column? you could probably do a VLOOKUP(), though it will only tell you if the values exist in the other column(s)...
