Hello......

Before I upgraded to Windows 7, I was able to download Access db samples from a website, I found them very useful.
Since upgrading to W7, I get a message along the lines of "Access cannot open this file - This file is located outside your Intranet or an Untrusted Site - Microsoft Access will not open this file due to potential security problems".
It doesn't state my Internet Security or Windows 7 is blocking this but Access itself which is confusing, never come across this before.......any ideas out of this frustrating situation would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.....

Welcome to the Forum,

Are you working with Access 2007 or higher? If so you might have to add the location into your trusted source.

If yes then you will have to select the Office Button and then look at Access Options and trust Center

WOW !!!...that response was quick (another applications forum usually takes days !!!)
Thank you Trevor, I have version 2002 which I assumed is separate from the Office Home & Student ?
I don't actually have an Office Button but I've checked the "All Programs" option and although Microsoft Office/Access/Microsoft Office Tools are available, none give me any option to follow your advice.
(You may have gathered by now that I'm a bit IT illiterate :o )
I'll persevere, the samples weren't vital but they were useful.

Thank you........!

Check the Settings in the Internet explorer, they also have a trust setting which I can add the site to.

I would also look at the Microsoft Website for any advice and also the help on the desktop of windows.

Windows 7 come with Internet Explorer so I would look around there Tools Options settings as well.

Thanks for the tips Trevor, haven't tried them yet but good to know I still have some options to try and I will keep trying if these don't succeed !?

Much appreciated...........
