Hi,
I need to link lot's of files (mostly pdf and word, sometimes tiff or jpg) to records in my database. The example posted on this forum by GHudson (http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=97787) looks great to me but I cannot get it 'transplanted' to my DB so I'm looking for some help.
I've imported the modules, the form and the tables to my DB. They work as in the example. What I cannot figure out is how to retrieve the imported data and link them to a specific record? For starters I cannot even find the file I've just imported in the tImport? Were is it? I've deleted all the files from that table, import a new one and the table remians empty. I don't get it. As far as I understand I need at least an ID number for each imported file + a linking key to whatever record I want to link the imported file to. I'm at a loss, after spending 2 entire loooooong evenings and a big part of today on this I'm really at a dead end and could do with some help and/or advice.
Thanks, Walter
