Hello All

I recently converted all my Access 2002 programs to Access 2007, simply because I had heard rave reviews about Access 2007 Runtime. So I am now running Access 2007.

The runtime program is incredibly simple to run, but I am having a problem. When I run my programs in 2007, I can see all my text fields with the correct results. When I use the runtime program on a computer without Office 2007, (which is the reason for using the runtime files) the programs load without any problem. But when using the runtime version(s) I cannot see the results of my concatenated fields. I am getting the usual error message, #Name? Where am I going wrong?

Looking forward to the usual high quality responses I have had in the past.

Re: Drisconsult

Are you able to attach a stripped down version of your db with some dummy db? Also, point to the form and controls that's showing the #Name error.

Hello
I never ceased to be amazed at the way that computers behave. I copied the runtime files to a CD and the database that was giving me problems with concatenated fields, then install the runtime files on a computer that had never had an Office product installed on it.

The runtime database worked perfectly. All concatenated fields were shown correctly. So I'm not even going to bother to find out why it did not work in the first place. However I do have a problem with Office 2002 (XP) and the runtime files associated with this product.

I have downbloaded Office XP SP3 and it works perfectly. I have tried to download the security fix: KB827430 but get the dreaded:

The expected version of the product was not found on your system

So at the moment I have no idea how to proceed. All Office software is legitimate and working properly. Can anybody help?

Glad you got your initial problem sorted.

With regards your second, you might get better responses if you were to post in the Other Software section of the forum as this seems to be an issue with the Office install.
