I'm hoping that someone can give me some insight into this problem. I'm on Windows 7 at work. I'm using MS Office 2010, Outlook 2007, and QuickBooks 2011. I thought it was just related to Office, but QB isn't a MS product.

When I'm in, let's say Access, and I click on the Help button, I get a popup for File Download, asking me if I want to Open or Save this file.

Name: transition.htm
Type: Firefox Document, 671 Bytes
From: MS.ACCESS.14.1033

When I click on open, it opens a browser window and gives me this:

Loading... Loading help from Office.com
Show me offline help from my computer

It doesn't matter if I use Firefox or IE. It gives me the same error. We've tried repairing MS Office 2011, but that didn't work. Again, any suggestions on where to look or what could be causing this? Thanks.

Sounds like a browser issue. Could be a file association issue.

I am having the same problem, but using IE 8. Anyone have solution or something to try.

The guys at work reinstalled Office 2010 and that seemed to clear up the problem. Not sure how it fixed QuickBooks, but the reinstall seemed to correct a corrupted driver file. Have you tried reinstalling Office?
