"Can't build a link between unbound forms" error

Hi All,

I am building a database that has many reports which contain charts. I use the Link Master/Child Fields to link the charts to the main report. I am in the process of making a new report that also contains a chart, but every time I try to link the fields, I get the "Can't build a link between unbound forms" error (when I hit the Build button beside the Link Master/Child property of the chart).

I checked all my properties of the report and chart, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but I figured I must be missing something really obvious (I do that a lot) so I opened one of my other reports to review its properties to compare them and see what I was missing. While looking through its property sheet, I got the same error as in my new report. Now, ALL my reports give me the same error, although all of them still work fine.

What the heck is up with this???

Alright, it turns out that this error only comes up if I try to use the Link wizard. If I type in the Master/Child fields manually, it works fine, and the report is created successfully with no errors...

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Why won't Access (97) let me create these links anymore? It was working fine for the past few months. It's just starting today that I'm having trouble.
