Can't change required field property...

I am trying to change a field to be required. I know where it is...

(Navigation Pane > Design View > Select field I want required > Properties Pane > General Tab > set Required property to Yes)

But I don't see that General Tab at the bottom of my page.

The closest thing I have to properties is on the right-hand side. It opens when I right-click, then hit Properties. It displays...

Format | Data | Event | Other | All... but that's it...

The required property is a property of a field in a table, not a control on a form, so you need to change it there

Hi CJ,

I have located the view you mentioned and I see the Required property, but when I try to change it from No to Yes, I'm unable to. It's almost as though the sheet is protected. Does that make sense to you?

Or is there another way to edit this?

Nevermind. I figured it out. Apparently, I had frozen all the date at one point. Much thanks!

By sheet I presume you mean table?

If your table already has data and in the field you want to change to required there are some rows where there is no data, you won't be able to change it because of that missing data - you need to ensure all rows have data in that field for the required rule to work.
