can't edit fields?

I am struggling with a subform. I am unable to edit the fields. It allows the cursor to enter the field (a memo, date field and text field) but does not allow any changes. I believe all permissions have been set, ie. allow edits, enable, etc of both the fields and form. It is a 'dynaset'. It is based on a SQL (query). There is another subform on the same form which works just fine. Any ideas?

You can not update all queries. For example, if a query is based on 2 tables, a Parent and a Child of one to many, then a query with data from both is fine for display or finds, but cannot be updated. The problem is that a change to a field on the parent side would not update to all of the occurrences in the query.

So, check your query and see if you can update it. If not, then there is your problem. Can you modify the query to include just the table information you want to update?
