Can't go into Design View of Form

I have several MS Access 2010 forms open. However one of them when I right click on the tab and select Design View, it doesn't respond. I have to close the form and then right click on the form name and go into design view. I don't have the same problem with the other forms.

It might be some corruption or the database needs to be decompiled.

See if importing into a new, blank database shell helps.

Tried decompiling which did nothing.

Tried importing into a new db. Initially the rogue form went into design view. However as I went to Options and made the Splash as the opening form, it didn't work. When I go back and remove the name of the opening form and open the rogue form, it still didn't work. I guess I will have to live with it.

it happens occasionally. keep backups. save changes frwequently. be prepared to delete a form, and restart.

i am sure inside access there are a load of complicated pointers bringing everything together. a minor corruption in one of these, will manifest itself in strange ways.l

Since I posted yesterday, I can now go into Design view on an adhoc basis.
