Hi all,

I've got an add category form with a list of the current categories in a continuous subform on the bottom of it.

When on open the subform on it's own it allows me to edit the text and change the tick box to on or off.

However when the subform is open in the main form it won't allow me to edit anything in the subform. :banghead:

How do I set the subform to allow being edited whilst placed in the main form?

Hope that makes sense? :)

Thanks.

check the subforms Link Master Fields/ Link Child Fields property (Property->Data) on design view. you should link it to the correc field/textbox on the main form. or you can blank it out if there is no relationship between records in main form and the subform.

Can you Add/Edit Records in the Main Form? The Main Form that is Read-Only, or that has AllowEdits set to No, won't allow editing in a Subform, as the Subform is a Control on the Main Form...and Access considers doing anything to the Subform as 'editing.'
