Hi!

I'm very new to access, but eager to learn.
I have created two tables. When I try to create a query using the query wizard, or when I try to create a report also using the wizard I don't see any available fields. I click on the table, but I see no available fields.
However, when I go to design view, I'm able to see all the fields.
Does anybody know a sloution to this problem.

I'd be very grateful if someone would help me. I'm doing an introductory course in informatics, but I need to solve this issue before I can do anything at all.

Can you zip your database and post it so we can see what is going on? Or is it sensitive information?

Try creating a new table. Add a couple fields to it and add some data to it. Then try to create a query. Still no fields when you choose your new table?

Hi!

It's not sensitive at all.
I hope I've attached it properly.
Here it is.

Query

I was able to add fields from table Kunder into a new query with no problem

Here is EXACTLY what I did...

Query>New>Simple Query Wizard..
Tables>Kunder>Add.

All the fields showed up in the new query when I dragged the fields from the table into the new query.

Try following that.

I did exactly like you did, but I can't see any fields in the window, so there are no fields to add

Close out of Access, go back in and create a new database. Create a table with fields and try to create your query.

If you can, do screen captures and paste them into a word document so we can see what is going on.

The same happened, the new fields weren't visible when i tried to make a query
I don't know how to make a screen capture

ALT + Print Screen.

That key combination will capture what you see on screen .Then just paste that into a Word document

This is what it looks like with the new database.
Could there be something wrong with my access, although ive tried to reinstall it to no avail?

What the.....

Gee whiz. Never seen this before. Hopefully someone else in this forum can shed some light on this...

Thanks for trying anyway.
Could there be something wrong with my version of access or ist some kind of setting on my computer, since you're able to see the fields on your computer.
I'd be very grateful if someone else out there could help me out.

Is there really noone out there who has an idea about what's going on?
I've tried to reinstall xp office preo sp3 from a friend, but I still have the same problem, I see no fields when I try and create a query using the wizard.

Problem it solved, it was because of the virus programme. I tried to switch it off and all of a sudden I could see all the fields.
seems very strange to me that this was the reason, but as long as it works.
