cascading combo boxes

Hi,

i appricate there have been several posts on this subject, and i have managed to set up a filter by cascading boxes. however, i'm a bit stuck on making the filter 'live' i.e. to filter the records by each box in turn, narrowing down the records.

e.g. all "sales", then by "department", then by "sales person".

is there an idiots guide to setting this type of thing up? It's been ages since i last did this (i have done it before!) and i can't for the life of me remember how!

Sounds like you want to do a requery after each item in a dropdown is picked....
AfterUpdate event of the combo?
If your using combos on a main form....then showing results on a subform...
Forms!frmMainForm![frmSubform].Form.Requery
