Changing buttons

I created two programs. One the one my buttons is white on the other it is a dull brownish.
How do you change the buttons and tabs from that dull color to white?

If you are talking about Command Buttons it is my understanding that you can not actually change the back colour as this is set by the Windows colour scheme.

What you can do though is to set the buttons transparency to Yes, and then place the button over a rectangle or label of the colour you would like it to be.

There is also a setting called "Use Windows Themed Controls" which you may want to disable and see if that helps. I believe it is a "per database" setting.

Hey Bob, I think that is what i'm looking for. Where do I go to change the setting on access 2003. Sometimes when I create a database my buttons are the standard form color and raised and sometimes it is flat with with a whitish color and a blue rim and my tabs look much better. Im looking to change my current database to the latter scheme.

And there is one more thing I would like to know.
When I enter a date into my database anywhere it picks up that im entering the month first, then the day,then the year. I want it to pick up
that I'm entering the day first and then the month, and then the year.

For part one go to the Tools menu and select Options, now go to the Forms/Reports tab and the last check box is "Use Windows Themed Controls on Forms".

I believe the date format comes from your system settings, but you can specify how access handles dates by using the Format() function

In regards to the date.

The format function only changes how it displays the date and not how it is entered. Is their no other way that I can change the way it picks up the entry except changing the system settings and where do I change the system settings.
