Changing Like to ALike

Hi,
I have converted a 2003 Database to 2007
All my Querys that had used the Like operator (Example Like [forms]![frmEmployees]![txtLastNameFilter] & "*") automaticly have changed to the word ALike (Example ALike [forms]![frmEmployees]![txtLastNameFilter] & "*")and query doesn't work.
I tried to change back Alike to Like but the query will not let me as it changes right back to Alike.
Any Ideas why this is doing that and how I can fix?

I read the other posts.
I tried the % sign and it works.
I also from the Tools/options did untick the SQL Compatiblity checkbox but it still changes back to the ALike Name. I even closed the Database and reopen the database.
