changing the color of a record

hi all, i need to change the color of a record in a subform based on the result in one of the cells in that row, any ideas please

Have you looked at Conditional Formatting? On the ribbon starting in 2007, Format/Conditional Formatting prior to that.

Have you tried using the BackColor and Forecolor of the trhat cell. When you get the one cell working right, you will need to add similar commands for each other cell in the row. All the commands will go in the same procedure so it shouldn't be too bad.
