Each page of my report is specific to a certain provider

For example:
Provider Name
provider 1rst quarter results ----------------ALL Providers AVG quarter Results
provider 2nd quarter results ----------------ALL Providers AVG quarter Results
provider 3rd quarter results ----------------ALL Providers AVG quarter Results
provider 4th quarter results ----------------ALL Providers AVG quarter Results

clustered chart
comparing provider with ALL providers AVG quarter results.

How do I get the chart's datasheet to populate with the information on the report specific to the provider? I have read about the Link Child and Master fields in properties, but I get the "can't build a link between unbound forms". What do I need to do?

Thanks,
JB

There are two options when building a chart and using the Parent-child. The first is to define the parent child when you define the chart. The second is to type the parent or child field into the parent or child parameter field. Make sure you spell it exactly the way it is in the tables and you should be ok.

You will also need to define a group in the chart in order for the report to populate correctly. The parent child link will force the sorting in the query, but you also need to correctly place it in the chart. Select the Sort/group function off the ribbon. When it pops up on the bottom of the screen, select the appropriate field for the sort. In other words if you want to sort by facility, select the facility field to define the sort. You will then need to move the chart into the appropriate grouper (defined by the sort). You might want to also force a new page in the group footer, so you might need to select "with" footer in the group/sort options for the new grouper.

Hope that helps. Not really as bad as it sounds.
