Check Box

I have been looking for 2 days for this info and have been unsuccessful. Can someone direct me to a post or help me with this problem. Bottom line…I have a field from a table on my form, I want to make a checkbox to fill in the field with information from a table. I already know how to add the check box bound but it puts in a -1 in the field instead on the data from the table. Any thoughts or have I confused you more?

this is correct, a TRUE value is identified as -1 and False as 0,
if the datatype is Yes/No in yr table then you just need to change its display format.

This is what I have in another field to put a date in:
Private Sub Checkdone_AfterUpdate()
If Checkdone Then
Me.Date = Date
Else
Me.Date = Null
End If
End Sub
and works great but I want to replace the date with Watch.

Any ideas

If "Checkdone" is your checkbox.... your almost there...
Try.....
If checkdone = true then
.......

Thanks CEH...that worked but I also had to put the Watch as "Watch". Thanks for your help. Still learning.
