Chinese Characters appear in report as data

In this access database with the issue, there is a complex query that pulls data from a few different tables together to put together a larger table which is then queried to finally have the neccessary data for specific reports. Now the problem lays with that data, which in the query table view is in English, but on the report view, Chinese characters appear as values for certain fields. How does this happen when the data the report is pulling in is perfectly fine? What do I have to do to fix it? I have tried repairing the database but with no success of correcting the issue. Please advise as soon as anyone reads this. Deadline is fast approaching. Thanks!

Not just mine...

Yes, it happens on other computers as well. It isn't just mine. It seems like the problem exists in the second query run to be uniqely matched to certain reports. When I use the first query to put filters on for a specific report, it works fine. So, if someone can figure out why in the second query does the problem of returning chinese characters for certain fields occurs, that would be great. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem - first query works fine; second query is returning things like: 脂ҭ and this is for 2 letters. simple text field.
