I want to find all records in a field

tblWater_Sample_Temp.Result

that have

> or < at the beginning and remove that character.

So that:

< 35
> 3

Would become:

35
3

Any Suggestions?

SET RESULT = right(RESULT,LEN(RESULT)-2)
WHERE RESULT like "< *"
OR RESULT like "> *"

Assumes the < or > is always followed by a space
